Hi, everyone... Last night I slept really hard, and how much better I feel today! The wrangled nerves and upset stomach are calming down. My appetite still isn't great, but I know from experience this will take time. In the meanwhile, I am supplementing what I eat by drinking Ensure.

I am doing the only thing I know to do to recover...have dived headfirst into AA, calling my sponsor daily, reaching out to others in the program, trying to meditate/pray and attending daily meetings. I have seen this approach work for many, many suffering alcoholics, and I know I'm not a unique alcoholic. It will work for me, too, if I WORK at it.

Today I know there's not any difficult situation I face in life that will be made better by taking a drink. Alcohol destroys us from the inside out. For the alcoholic, drinking causes "the annhiliation of all things worthwhile" in life, and I know life is worthwhile and worth fighting for. The fight's on!

You've got this! Took me almost 2 weeks to get back my appetite (yesterday) and I ended up going to the Chinese Buffet for lunch and eating like I haven't in ages. I did it again today. I hope this won't be a trend...
