Hi my name is Jocelyn, and I am an alcoholic!
Boy where those words so hard to say for the very first time. It felt like I was being stabbed in the chest by a very dull object. I have 24 days of sobriety and I have attended 28 AA meetings. I have a sponsor and I am serious about my steps. I love this site and reading everything because I cannot always go to a meeting when I need one and this is a great tool to have for those moments! I am glad to meet everyone and look forward to taking this journey with you!

You are all so wonderful! Some days are better than others, but I keep my nose in the Big Blue book and use my call list if I have too. I have met so many friends it's really comforting! I think the biggest comfort is knowing I am not alone. I am not the only one who thinks these things or feels these things. I get my 30 day chip on Saturday and I am SO STOKED! Waking up without a hangover and having energy throughout the day has been so awesome! I even got to chair an AA meeting on Sunday! What a rush! I came across this site looking for some inspiration on my first 3 steps and I am SO glad I did! Reading these is better than a meeting sometimes! And I don't have to hear the old timer ramble on for ten minutes lol!
