I'm going on one week and one weekend clean. My first two days I could. Not eat or sleep. Now I'm beginning to eat. And I can sleep. The only thing is that I'm drinking in my dreams. And actually feel slightly hungover when I wake.

I walked around with the hangover feeling for the first month. It will get better. No lie.

oh yeah, those dreams are normal. It really helps to think of my addiction as some kind of beast, even if it sounds goofy. It gets pissed that I'm not feeding it & tries to get at me while I'm sleeping.....and I'm a few years clean. So keep it up, man....this is a sign that you're doin the right thing - the beast is pissed!!

I got a friend who got clean in 1986 he still has drinking dreams .
I've had it once or twice , it was so nice when i woke up and was sober ..

i think i have "ghost" hangovers every few weeks , i suspect non-alcoholics call them days when they feel a little bit off .

Like others have said the dreams and the slightly hungover feeling are normal (with the latter, you may find you're a little dehydrated?)
