Very Happy Update!

I haven't posted here in ages. I'm sorry that I haven't been here keeping up to date on how everyone is doing and supporting everyone others like you have all been doing for me. I have been keeping in touch with a few people via pm. My teachers have been giving me work ahead of time so that I could be prepared since the baby was expected to come early, so I've been really busy.

But the good news is that she did come and is perfectly healthy and amazing! She was born on Sunday, Dec. 9 at 5:10 am after 13 hours of labor! She was 7 lbs, 10 oz. and 20 in. long. I can't believe she's here and that she's my baby. This is the first time that I feel like, no matter what happens from here on out, I did make the right decision to have her. Her dad is doing well. He has an actual sponsor now, not a temporary one. He was told he had to be serious about accepting a sponsor or he couldn't be in the program anymore. They called him on all his bs he's been doing, and I think he does actually respect his counselor there. I know he's still having a hard time but I think he's really distracted by her for the time being and has been spending all his time when he's not working here helping with her in every way.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and maybe I will be able to visit more since I will be home all day now.

I know, I started getting sad today because she's a week old. I can't believe she's already a week old. This time last week she was already 17 hours old. Time's already going super fast, or maybe that's just because my sleep is so screwed up that I can't keep track of time.

No puppy for me, my family already has 2 dogs and they're crazy!

OK,OK......no puppy.
here's 22 years of parent 'pet wisdom' for you....FREE OF CHARGE!

Guinea pigs: cute,cuddly,dumb as rocks.
Mice: smarter,but very tiny.
Gerbils:Turkish prisoners of war.Always trying to escape, sometimes succeeding.
Cats:Superior attitude.....they think YOU are THEIR pet.
Rats:Very intelligent.Ideal if not for creepy tail.Max lifespan 2 years.Rat costs
2 bucks,but 20 bucks to put to sleep at vets.(It's a PET---you cannot let
it suffer!!!!)
Parakeets: Noisy.Crap up a storm.
Reptiles:Makes Guinea pigs look like gifted thinkers.
Fish:Cleaning tank SUX!Really dumb ones (Jack Dempseys) wiil fight their
own reflection for hours!Do not forget suckerfish (natural tank cleaners)
Parrots:Someone always trying to teach it swear words-can be embarrassing.
Hamsters:All the downsides of rodent ownership----few of the upsides.
Rabbits:Makes hamster ownership look like a good idea.
Snakes:Really? Your child will think you cheaped out,got bargain reptile.
( too cheap to pay for legs)

......that's it......all the things you have to look forward to!

(smelly,stinky,scaly,dumb,dumber,escape artists,etc......
and I miss every single one of them)

......enjoy every minute with your brand new baby daughter!!!

Vale, What?? No hermit crabs....geesh - were't your kids ripped off!

Kyles, be glad you had a baby girl because I used to really like to tell my friends who were having a boy - how they were growing a penis inside of them!

only YOU (((Vale))).

I have to tell you, I am very thankful for your hubcap stealing "friend." Without her in your life, we wouldn't have you in ours. For that, I am very thankful!! :ghug3

I'm not following the wheel/tired/hubcap story. Do I want to know?

She's 8 days old today, which is so unbelievable to me. Today I was thinking about how it feels like maybe 3 months ago that I found out I was pregnant, even though so much has happened since then.

I had 2 exams today and am running on about 3 hours of sleep. I know she's going to wake up within 45 minutes or so, if she follows what she's been doing for the past several days. No time to nap. I don't want to let my parents help too much because I'm her parent, not them. My bf has been helping out when he gets off work, and giving me a tiny break, but he has one of his meetings tonight until 9, so I'm on my own...just trying to stay awake a little bit longer. I can't wait for somewhat of a schedule to start...
