One week!
One week!
This is day 7. I feel great.
Last night was my big test. All of my old triggers were there, and I resisted. Woke up today without a freaking hangover and without guilt! Jumped on the scale and saw that in 7 days booze-free, I have dropped 4 1/2 lbs without changing a thing, diet wise. This is a very nice feeling.
I'm not posting this just to toot my own horn, though. No. I want to thank each and every one of my new friends on SR for guiding me through this time. I quit right in the middle of my advanced grad program's final exams...the HARDEST time of the year coupled with the holidays. And I couldn't be doing this without you all!

Yeah! The mornings are something to look forward to. I got up with my family and we watched some cartoons, and it was glorious!
And don't worry, Drugssucks, you can do it! Every night without slipping is a notch in our belts...a victory.
Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

I bet the 10th or 12th feels pretty good too but I usually don't remember those ones.
The hangover-free morning though, I always remember those.
