Hello

I still cannot find words I want to say.

I just want to say hello. I don't want to feel alone today. I need my SR family.

Everything is ok and calm. Safe for me. But I feel lost.

Going to NYC today and Brooklyn for lunch. Planning on some cooking and going to see Lincoln tomorrow.

I don't drink any more. That's not an option ever. Ever. I have other things to do and focus on right now. Those things should be obvious.

That's great, Weasel. It's important to plan your day out as you have in early sobriety. I definitely get the genuinely good guy vibe from you and it's painful to see you struggle with this demon alcohol. You are going to be one of the ones that make it! Wait for the magic to happen. Sometimes it takes awhile, but somewhere between six months and a year, I finally felt it and you will too.

I am glad to hear life has calmed for you. It's definately easier to think when you can get some peace. How are you physically? How's your face? Thank God you still have your teeth. I think about you a lot as many here do. You have a lovable sense of humor. Be well. We are pulling for you Ken.

Hey weasel know that I really enjoy your posts. I am glad you are part of this forum. You certainly make this place better by sharing your experience. I am glad you are staying sober.

It's so nice to read about your recovery. Enjoy the city. I lived in Queens briefly in the early 80's, in Flushing. Hope you guys are recovering ok from Sandy upthere. Let us know how your day went and what you did in the city.

Natalie

Hey everyone! I went to Mary's Fish Camp in the village. Fantastic food.

I love Brussels sprouts and they made them by taking off the leaves and sauteing them in garlic and oil. Best thing ever... lol

The weather was great. perfect temp.

The city was crawling with everyone in santa suits. Thousands of people at least. The trains were full of em. Not sure the event but quite the site.

Today was a day I needed.

No Fing way in hell I will drink.

Ready to settle in for a movie tonight. Need to rest. Walked about 5 miles.

Have a great evening!

Hey Ken, missed you. Its been almost a week. Im sure youve lots of raw emotions like myself. Some moments I forget them..then they are back full force. I just keep praying and remembering time takes time.

Im sure things will soften with time.

Hope you enjoy the movie, that sounds nice. Maybe Ill get one too

fallow.... You hit it perfect. It's like a death... I forget for a few minutes and then it hits me again.

I feel disconnected with everything.

I am working through this but with my face still in pain... Cannot blow my nose. My hand is in pain. It's hard to think of anything else.

So today I treated myself right.

Going to watch Ted. Totally irreverent
