Heya - new here and celebrating 30 days sober
Hi everyone, been reading since September and decided to dip my toes in here. What a great forum! I appreciate the collective wisdom and support here, and have shared some info and links with my AA sponsor and others.
Anyway, great to be here and look forward to being a part of this group!

Welcome upandup! Glad you decided to jump in and post. This is an amazing place that helped this career drinker finally lay it down.
Congratulations on your 30 days! That is fabulous.

Hi upandup,
Congrats on 30 days! Why don't you head over to the daily newcomers support thread and join the group of November. We're always looking for new recruits and its a very supportive group!

Congrats the first mile marker. Many more to go Rember all we have is today! If you have a foot in yesterday and a foot in tomorow your pissing all over today. 1 month is huge I belve everyday a alcoholic doesn't drink is a miriacle. You can usually help a newcomer fell more welcome with 30 days then someone with 30 years. I Rember when I started and I kept telling my sponser I can't wait to have 10 years he said do u really want to be that old. Best of luck don't quit doing what you have been doing I was told I was either going towards the bottle or away from the bottle so I got to look at myself each day and decide what I'm going to do TODAY for my sobriety.. Don't forget your a miriacle

Thanks everyone! CMack, plenty of things I enjoy about sobriety
Physical: no more night sweats, no more wine poops (ewww, I know), no more wine stained lips, more energy, taking better care of myself, taking for granted that I won't wake up with a hangover, not having to lug bottles to the recycling, no more mystery bruises or scrapes
Mental: clearer thoughts, starting to assess where I am now, thinking about what is next, knowing my car isn't wrecked, not having to plot my drinking for the day
Emotional: regaining my own trust, not dealing with life through a fog, clearer understanding of myself and others, being a better friend, better defined boundaries, a healthy sense of self worth, able to roll with the punches rather than get pummeled, less afraid to see life and acknowledge it for what it actually is, coming out of my shell, no more drunken mood swings
Probably forgetting a few, and by no means am I 100%. But so far so good
Right on oakwood, glad to hear!
I'll have to head over to the Nov 12 thread nomis, thanks for the invite
30 days .... Only took me 90 days to get here!
Peace, y'all have been a great help already - many thanks
