Although I signed up months ago and have been sober since 8/31/2001.
I've been white-knuckling and have been too proud (ashamed?) to discover that I still need meetings - stopped attending regualrly after about 2 years of not drinking. I figured since I had spiritual grounding through my Church (I'm Catholic and fairly religious about it), I didn't really need the Flelowship any longer. That thinking carried me for a good long while. But...the simple fellowship of sharing with someone who knows what it means to be an alcoholic that has to arrest this disease daily has left a huge hole. Especially recently.
Time to get back in the saddle again, I guess.
Pax,
Thomas
