What do people drink in place of alcohol?
I drink lots of water and herbal teas, but what worries me is that when I start socialising and staying sober I won't know what to drink. I don't like soft drinks nor fruit juices. Any suggestions?

I tend to drink a lot of coffee. I'm sure a few people on here would argue that caffeine is addictive too, but if the worst impact is that I'm more awake than I normally would be, I think I'm okay with that.
A soda squash which is like a lemon squash but with soda instead of lemonade, to keep the calories down. In a large glass. I try not to drink sugary soft drinks.
Soda (seltzer in US I think) and lime, ginger ale, cranberry, still water, diet lemonade, tomato juice & Tabasco (virgin Mary) in social settings. Coconut water, herbal teas, hot chocolate, elderflower presse, V8, dandelion & burdock at home.

In Canada one of our most popular drinks is the Caesar. Clamato with worcestershire sauce & tabasco, celery salt rimmed glass, chuck of celery or asparagus or string bean and vodka, I know, sounds terrible, thing is they are great, and even better without the vodka.
Coffee is A ok in my books.
I like water , tea or coffee and drink them when i'm socialising . I try to focus on the socialising rather than the drinking .
Focusing on the drinking at social events is something i'm trying to wean myself off as i suspect it might be alcoholic behaviour ..

I drink AA coffee.
Also ginger ale looks like champagne. You can tell who's drinking the plain ginger ale though 'cause they walk normally and don't slur their words.
All the best.

coffee, coke zero, fanta, gatorade, ginger beer, pretty much anything that doesnt have alcohol in it is fair game and I enjoy it very much.
I now work out, dont smoke and dont drink. I figure any extra caffeine or sugar these days surely is just a drop in the ocean compared to what has been passed through my system over the years.
I keep my plans simple and the one big iron unbreakable rule I live by now is "dont drink alcohol". Anything more just complicates things.

I have been drinking a lot of cranberry juice when out, though it does have a diuretic effect on me! I have also been going to the posh supermarket in town to buy bottles of sparkling pomegranate juice and other more grownup soft drinks for Xmas.
I love drinking gingerale from a cocktail glass. Sometimes if I'm feeling tired I'll have a redbull ... I realized that in social situations where I am feeling anxiety it helps to just have whatever I'm drinking in a cocktail glass. That way, you avoid all the questions about why you aren't drinking, etc. Hope this advice helps!

I bought some naturally sparkling mineral water. I mix that with fruit nectars. Then I add a garnish like a lemon or orange slice, lime wedge, or a sprig of mint.
The naturally sparkling mineral water is kind of expensive, so I found some made in Romania in a six pack of 2-liter bottles, much cheaper than Perrier or San Pellegrino. Tastes great.
The fruit nectars I bought have as natural ingredients as I could find. I got Pear, Peach, and Apricot. Cranberry juice would probably be good too. I am trying to feel like I have a special drink.
