Hello sspalding:
Why don't you look up the telephone number of your local NA group in the phone book and give them a call. They've all stood right where you are right now.
All the best.

Have you contacted your doctor about getting off them? Is that where you get the opiates from?
Check out the substance abuse threads. There are some great posts from people who were right where you are and beat the addiction.

Hi Sspalding,
I am also addicted to opiates and could not do cold turkey- I am tapering and have been for a few weeks. I am almost completely off now and i must say, this site has been a complete saviour for me.
How long have you been addicted and are you dependent on a large amount as cold turkey can be dangerous.
YOU CAN DO THIS X
