One good thing about not being drunk all the time...

Surprisingly, the voice recognition software on my phone seems to be working a lot better.

Whilst drunk I once fell through someones 42 inch tv and destroyed the cabinet, dvd player, surround sound and our friendship at the same time. I might be going on a date with the same person soon. I was gonna make amends for the tv lol.

In the middle of the night, I am no longer trying to find the bedroom door for 15 minutes so that I could find the bathroom.

I just did that. I like "revenge" but I had to catch up on it because even though I was watching it, I had no idea of what was going on, and this Sunday is the season finale

Now that I'm sober, I live a open honest
life with no secrets and no unfaithfullness.

Life today in recovery is absolutely wonderful.

I think i'll keep it.

I can read a book in bed without it falling on my face, almost breaking my nose.

I can leave the house without worrying if there'll be alcohol (or a bathroom) available.

I can drive around without checking the rearview mirror for police officers.

After "worrying" about my weight for years, I have lost 45 pounds with buckets of chocolate and chips in my "diet".

Ummm, I havent woken up in the psych ward in awhile. Nor the drunk tank, or the doghouse. I havent had a zillion people tell me they are surprised I didnt crack open my skull on something the night before, or fall to my death down the stairs. And, i know exactly where all my money went....on my bills.

That possum I saw last night eating cat food on my backporch actually WAS a possum (not my big black cat). In my former life, I probably would have tried to give him a belly rub (suffering the consequences).
