Was going to f2f meeting, but babysitter drunk
I was going to go to a f2f al-anon meeting last night, but the babysitter...my mom...was drunk. That sure is a kick in the pants. 
We had talked about it last week and she agreed that I needed to get out of the house and be around other people who do not drink. She said I needed to "find a friend". And I have to admit, it would not be a bad thing to find a friend who is not totally interested in the bar.
So anyway, she had the day off work yesterday so I should have known. I called her, at the bar, to see what shape she was in and she was drunk. So I said I decided not to go to the meeting and she did not have a problem with that at all. I won't leave my kids with her when she is drunk because she has no patience and she gets mad very very easily. I don't want them to go through what I did.
I did go to an online meeting though. Not the same, I'm sure, but better than nothing. Maybe next week will be better.

I guess you haven't had a chance to see if you could take your kids. I agree with JT. You will get to go. Obviously it's not in the plan for you to make it yet, but keep trying. You will look back at this someday and laugh at all the crazy obstacles, but I know it's not funny now. It sucks. Just don't give up. You are making progress. Hugs, Magic :thumb
