Sober in the mountains

I am grateful this holiday weekend for many things but my soberity will always be number one. Soberity has allowed me to do many things some pleasant and some not so much but I keep showing up. This year I have moved to the mountains from the flatlands of the east, a dream come true! Never would of happened without A A!

I've been through Victor, ID... I love it there.. Teton Pass... All that stuff... I went to an AA meeting in JH when I was skiing there a couple of years ago.

Life isn't always easy, but how wonderful that you've been able to fulfill a dream in your sobriety! I never saw the beauty in things around me when I was drinking - now I appreciate things so much more.

I live in San Diego and one of my favorite getaways is Big Bear, something about the tranquility and quaint little town surrounded by mountains always makes me feel relaxed.
