It Has Been One Hell Of a Month
It Has Been One Hell Of a Month
An uncle died, my aunt is is the hospital, as was my mom, my sister is having a cancer operation, I was sick for 3 weeks, and I think the house my ex lives in is going to be foreclosed of which I am a co-signer and my sponsor relapsed. I guess they can be lessons in you need sobriety most when things are the toughest. Would of been I would have been buried in the bottle but it would not have changed one of those facts.
I just want this month over. Got the tuck jumped and coming back from store through the Indian Colony this guy is staggering down the road and takes a nose dive so I stop to check on him he was 3 sheets to the wind. I call 911 and wait for them. Now I am home and tired and a bit depressed.
First off, happy birthday! Another year above ground! My dad, rest his soul, always said "Getting older sucks but it beats the alternative."
I too hope your truck recovers. As luck would have it, my truck is also in the shop. Hopefully it will be finished tomorrow. This time two months ago I would have been too drunk to drive by this time anyways!
When things are tough I know well how good a drink would feel. But you hit the nail on the head. No problem I have would be improved by my getting smashed. So instead I hit SR!

Fitz, sorry for the loss of your uncle, and all the health issues your family is facing. That's a bummer about the foreclosure too-any chance of bank working with you on that-loan modification or something? You have definitely had the month from hell. I applaud you for staying sober and dealing with all of that. You are a very strong person.
