I am suffering from severe ongoing stomach/intestinal issues that are really not good. Hospitalized several times. Years of drinking has taken its toll. I can go forward but can not go back. Funny they ban cigarette ads on TV because of health concerns but not alcohol. But I did it to myself, no one else to blame. On a bright note I sure am losing extra weight.

I think they don't ban alcohol commercials, for the fact that moderate consumption ( 1 unit for women, 2 units for men on average) has actual positive effects on the human body and no negative effects.

It's when you abuse the alcohol where the problems start.

I'm incapable of moderating my consumption, so I cannot drink.

Reckon there is probably about 7 people in the whole of the Uk that drink within the guidelines. Cant speak for anywhere else but here it causing intolerable strain on society. Think also These claims about minimal alcohol being beneficial have also been disputed by many people.

Well I used to think one or two glasses of wine so I bought a wine glass so big it basically took a bottle. What a sick ass I can be.

I fail to agree that Booze can be good for health. The human body Treats it the same as poison.
