Should of Had An MRE
Should of Had An MRE
Miltary meals ready to eat. Ate a frozen turkey dinner. Next year I'll get back to being a real person. Stilll 3rd time in a row I've eaten solid food in 3 weeks. Next comes the dreaded pie. Wish me well if no one hears from me again, cry medic.
MycoolFitz,
Have you had the flu, or is it something else? you have been sick for a bit. I am so sorry that you are having to eat by yourself.. but sometimes there is peace alone. I hope next year is better, heck, i hope tomorrow is better. wish you had been at our table today. we could have used some of your kind and wise shares.
feel better soon, MCF

I actually like the MRE sloppy joe filling. And beef stew isn't bad, a little too salty though. Glad you survived the pie!
I felt a little queasy I ate so much turkey and stuffing. After a couple hours the nausea when away so I had a piece of pie- then it came back!

Hi Fitz,
I don't think you were being negative in either of your recent posts - either the one about having difficulty sleeping or the one about being tempted to buy a bottle of wine.
Sorry to hear about your stomach problems. You must be feeling pretty weak not being able to keep much down.
My sponsor abused his stomach in his drinking days. He drank a gallon of vodka per day. I can't imagine even drinking that much water. He had a stomach bug during the time that I knew him and spent 3 days on the bathroom floor either puking or dry heaving, even though he had given up the booze for quite some time.
I called him up once and we had crummy reception. He said he couldn't hear me very well and to try back later. I called the next day and his wife answered the phone. She said he had died 2 weeks previous. Anyhoo, she said he died surrounded by the things that he loved with a smile on his face.
Wifey said with regard to my last conversation with him, "that was an old message."
It sure didn't sound like an answering machine to me. Only the Shadow knows.
