Affirmations of Who am I today?

Today I am trying to work on concentrating on what is good in my life- and on what I have achieved in the past 6 months- and wanted to share!
I am a mother of 3.
I am a wife of an alcoholic.
I am an Adult Child of Alcoholic Parents.
I am a classic codependent.
I am a believer in the Higher Power
I am a grateful member of Al Anon.
I am someone who has never realised how affected I truly was by living with Alcoholism.
I am a mother, whose children have all been affected by this disease.
I am a mother, who is ready to address my issues, so that I can change my behaviour.
I am a person who is ready to embrace my recovery, and to work at it to the best of my ability.
I am a person who realises this is a lifetime journey needing gentleness and compassion.
I am ready to forgive myself, as well as the alcoholics in my life.
I am a seeker of Serenity.
I am ready to ‘Take Care of Myself’.
I am ready to truly enjoy the rest of my life
I am thankful for SR, and all the support within this forum.

There is so much growth shining through you.
I'm proud to be on this journey with you...I'm walking right alongside you.

Hugs...and happy thanksgiving...
we have so much to be grateful for...

Thanks to both of you- I value your opinions in all your posts. Thinking about why I wanted to share, the answers I came up was that I have learnt so much through people's positive attitudes, that if what I wrote helps even one person to realise that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, my experience has an added bonus!
Sometimes life is so dark for us, that we do forget our way- and it is by others' beacons of light that we get on the right path....Serenity is out there for the taking, we need to be able to llook for it!
