Day 4

Four days drying out after a one night of heavy drinking. Just starting to put myself together again. I have to go to work in 10 minutes and hope I don't show any cracks in my armor. I run a repair shop and if the mechanics sense weakness they will attack. Many don't like managers and will find excuses to make them miserable. I have usually been a supportive understand boss and have helped many along the way. I don't understand why I can't receive the same treatment. Just a little vulnerable right now and had to get it in writing. The good side is starting to feel better again, exercising a lot and hopefully about my renewed desire to stop for good. I only drank 6 times last year but that was 6 times to many. Alcohol is my enemy.....

Good job RM. Don't take it personally about the mechanics. Many people just have authority figure issues. I know I do. And they just like to rock the boat or stir things up to keep it exciting. Just don't let them get to you.

Wow, safe at home! I made it. Thanks for the thoughts and words of encouragement! Tomorrow will be better. I know it gets easier with everyday of sobriety. I read rational recovery last night and believe it. I'm hopeful this time. Someone here pointed me that way and I've never seen it before.

Glad you got through the day without any drama from your mechanics. I have Rational Recovery, I have browsed it, I keep getting sucked into memoirs. I plan on reading it soon though.
