Guess i should introduce myself
im id10t(from a starwars vid).living in ontario, ca.
alcoholic, drinking for 13 years. last 10 were heavy. daily with binge drinking benders. lots of arrests all alcohol related. why im here, came to work drunk did something really stupid. the least i could have gotten fired, the most possibly arrested yet again.
drank my brains out for 3 weeks straight, telling myself if nothing happens im gonna quit this **** for good. was drinking before work, went at lunch picked up more beer, then would pound one back on the way home.
after 3 weeks nothing, so had my last drinking night last wednesday. so here we go...

Welcome.
I did about ten years of nightly binging as well and so grateful that I made the choice to get sober and have been clean for 14 months, wouldn't have it any other way.

You're making a great decision! It's a little scary at first, but I hung out here a lot and just took it an hour (or 10 minutes) at a time. Each day gets a little better - just be careful detoxing and get some medical help if you think you might need it.
