Used to avoid learning anyone new or giving nicknames in case you lost them. Now its like you want to know everyone but there are lots of people I no longer see maybe they just moved on but so many new folks I welcome and want to know. I feel like I have been here since dirt but not getting off unless I am shot from the saddle. There are people I miss and new people I welcome. That is life. Semper Fi

Yes, if you've been around for any length of time, many come and go. I know some who have left and are thriving. Some, I know never made it. They lost the battle. Unfortunately, the nature of the beast. Some, I have no idea what happened to them. I can only hope for the best. Our disease is a real bugger, the devil himself. I'm grateful that I've found some sobriety and peace of mind. For that, I feel like I am one of the lucky ones. Sometimes life is good, most times it sucks. Hate to sound like a downer, but for me I had to learn to bounce well.
