Smile amalie

My husband has advanced Alzheimers and the stress has led me to drinking Vodka. I had a history of maybe a glass of wine or small alcoholic drink before this. I have had a number of health problems in the past few years that with the
alzheimers led me to seek relief in Vodka. I need to quit, I want to quit. I do not drive and can not attend meetings so I pray you can help me,

I'm sorry for your situation with your husband amalie, and for your drinking problems too - but I know you'll find support here.

Do you have any support for dealing with being your husbands caregiver?

D

welcome amalie,

I am sorry that you are in the situation that you are in, but drinking makes everything worse (as much as I can understand wanting a respite). You have got to take care of yourself, especially during this trying time. I hope that you will continue to post on SR - there are a lot of great people here. Best wishes.
