Made a Decision
Made a Decision
"God, I offer myself to Thee--to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always!"

Step 4 work begins...
...If the end result of drug addiction is jail, institutions, or death with the alternative being sobriety and recovery...
...Then the end result of codependency (aka love addiction) might be isolation (a self-imposed jail), illness (mental, emotional, spiritual or physical), bankruptcy (nothing left to give, indebted, lost everything including ourselves, new addictions, "spiritual death")
In other words, I think the end results are the same- "jail", "institutions", or "death" for all addictions.
Which is why the 12 steps apply to all addictions.
I made a decision to turn my will and life over to my higher power which means now the hard work is next. The alternative is to repeat old patterns.
