Hello. I'm 46 years old and have had binge drinking problems since my teens. For years, I would just take time off drinking and despite nights where I'm able to stop after 1 or 2 drinks, eventually I would binge again. And the cycle would go on and on. Now, I've decided to stop drinking altogether and live a life without alcohol. I believe this site will help me as I move forward. Thanks.
Welcome dakhoot. I had to decide to give it up all together, too. I never knew what would happen when I took that first drink. Usually, it led to danger and uncertainty. Once I got used to living without alcohol, it was actually a relief to not have it in my life anymore.

Welcome dakhoot!
Trying to control my drinking drove me crazy - I just couldn't convince myself to be satisfied after a glass of wine or two. I think you'll find being sober is so much easier.Good for you for reaching out. you found a great place for inspiration and support.
