What do I want to do?
What do I want to do?
I am one of those people that waits for life's events to come to me. I would not call myself a trail blazer. Yet I have a few friends who are. I used to be.
Drinking and drugs, among other obvious things, took my sense of curiosity away. Or at least hide it from me.
Until now.
As things level off in my life. Where the highs and lows meet. I again need to find the spark.
Not the same spark I had when i was younger. A new one that is "age appropriate" for a 46 year old.
Like getting a new tattoo. Skydiving. Jet skiing in the islands. Simple stuff.
This does seem to be more about waking up each day and saying what do I want to do.
And not waking up each day and saying what must I need to do.
I don't need drugs.
I don't need drinking.
I have a few tattoos.... So I will start there.

Ken,
After I was sober for awhile, I discovered so many new interests that I became passionate about. Some faded, some I stuck with. It was all about learning who I was after drinking for 20 years. It's a great experience to relive child-like wonder as an adult. So many new things to do or learn.
I'm now so into podcasts. There are some great talks/lectures out there. Things I might have learned in college if I had been interested in something other than drugs and alcohol!
