Have no desire to drink
Have no desire to drink
It's Sunday and I have no desire to drink.
What? Is this ken?
Yup.... I just cannot imagine giving my day away.
I was always an early drinker. I used to start in the morning. Sometimes I would be at a bar that used to open at 6:30 am. Can you imagine?
This is a big change for me. Sundays have always been my most challenging time.
Not today. I just don't want to give up being sober. The cost of the first one is too high.

I think sober days are twice as long as drunk days. In fact I am sure of it.
It is a really nice day! I want to get out and talk a long walk.
To those considering a drink today. Don't. It's just not worth it.

Frankly,
It has been interesting to say the least, at being along with your ride to here. I love reading your posts, they are ever more evocative of your re-acquired resilience of spirit.

Sunday is hard for me too: Football and beer, Brunches with all you can drink Mimosas, Irish coffees on the cold days... I just keep telling myself how much better I will feel Monday morning without out. Not just physically, but mentally too, knowing I made it through the entire weekend. A smoothie on a warm day or some cocoa on a chilly day is a great Sunday beverage!!!
Wow-Ken, I almost missed your post. How cool is that?
You expressed it perfectly. That's how I feel now, I don't want to give the day away either. The days and nights are longer without alcohol. Kind of a gift for all the time we wasted-feels like we're getting some of it back!
