Advice on subutex w/d needed

Hi I'm new to this site. I am on 8mg of subutex a day and I have decided enough is enough and I am doing cold turkey. This is only my first day and I'm not feeling that awful at all.

I would like to know how long the worst of the w/d symptoms will last and how long until I will be no longer sick. How bad will it get? How long until the bad w/d symptoms kick in?

ANY information would be very much appriciated as I've heard alot of rumours on the internet that people having subutex w/d's say they last up to 10 days and that for them 10 days they feel awful.

Now I have done a few heroin cold turkies and on the 3rd day I always felt a bit better. Is subutex completely different? I just need some truth.

Thanks for any advice.

xoxo

It's against our rules to ask for or to give medical advice.

The best thing to do is to talk to your dr.

353. welcome! we're so glad you found us. we're all about support here and we'll help in any way we can. as anna said above, medical advice is taboo and asking your md is the way to go. also, you can always use the famous "dr google" and see what pops up for answers. once again welcome and you've come to a wonderful site for support and help.

Welcome 0353

if your looking for medical advice and answers to your questions I would look elsewhere.I take suboxone and can help you but it's not tolerated here on SR. Good luck, remember Google is your best friend.

We have a suboxone detox forum.
Suboxone/Methadone Maintenance or Detox - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

It's the indiscriminate giving out of medical advice that's not tolerated here.
