30 Days!!!
30 Days!!!
Finally reached day 30!!! Yesterday was a tough but I knew I didn't want to wake up and be at day one again. It is cold here today which is nice for a change.
Went to yoga this morning, at my third soccer game of the day and then slumber party for my daughter's 8th birthday. Looking forward to a fun night with my three kids plus six more. May need to have green tea on hand to keep up with them!
Happy Sober Saturday, and thank you to all of you for helping me reach 30 days!!!!

That is great, Delilah, I know you have been very mindful shall we say over the last several days. No matter, you did it, you succeeded. With this success is the knowledge that it is OK to have faith in yourself now, believing in yourself can lead to wonderful things.
If you can accept that you will no longer drink, it is OK to relax. Urge surfing (let me google that for you) is really a form of meditation, and it taught me how to just let the urge blow around me. The thought is not me, it has no power, and it will go away all by itself.
Later tonight when the girls are self sustaining, set a few minutes aside for just you. Be conscious of a couple of deep breaths and take stock of the monumental shift in thinking that you have accomplished. This is a big deal, and you are doing it. Well done, you.
