60 days today

And I'm filled with gratitude.

I'm grateful that I had the means to go to rehab. I'm grateful for the wonderful people I met there.

I'm grateful that I have a sponsor. I'm grateful for the solution that is being so freely given to me, I'm grateful for the fellowship of AA.

I'm grateful that I became willing to ask for help from something greater than me.

I could barely string 60 hours together, and now I have 60 days, one day at a time. Evidence that something greater than me is helping me.

Last but not least, I'm grateful to the SR community. This is where it all started for me. I came to this forum in November 2010, and you all welcomed me and provided support, and you understood me and my struggle with alcoholism. I have had many day 1's since then, but now I know I never have to have another one.

Forward we go, grateful for every sober day.
