The power of daily gratitude!
It's early morning here- and just wanted to share!
I have had a bad week, mostly getting my head around the fact that I am powerless whether my college going son seriously harms himself or not.
In that week I forgot gratitude-
I keep a flock of hens and every morning I get woken up by my "boys".for the past week I have hated every crow they made-
This morning all 15 of them seem to be in marvelous harmony, followed by the quacking of ducks and then the geese are giving their five cents worth.
This morning I am smiling, and am so grateful for the chorus outside!
Simplicity at it's best!

Most days I am awake before the sun. One of the most joyous sounds is the singing of all the various birds in the trees that surround our home as the sun is coming up! It happens almost every morning! I'm glad your 'boys' were able to lead off the rest of the choir this morning!

I too have a college son that is currently in recovery. It has only been recently that I have started to laugh and smile again. I have always found my peace at the ocean and now that I have my dreams on track I can actually sit back, close my eyes, and almost hear the waves break in the ocean. For that I am grateful.
So glad you are smiling this morning.
