What about Intervention.
I have been reading a new book called When the Servant Become the Master by Jason ZW Powers, MD. In the book he talks about how intervention is what saved him and that it can and should be done with dignity and respect. I am just wondering if I need to hire an interventionist or will I just be disappointed again like I am now. Since my AD was in rehab in August 2011 for 1 month and then had outpatient therapy for 8 weeks after that, she should have all the tools that she needs to quit using again right? But, in this book I am reading it talks about how drug use does cause brain damage and how the person cannot think clearly enough to seek help and treatment on their own. So, I am now thinking that I must do something again to save her. But at the same time I am reluctant to do so for fear of being let down again. She is 23 years old, will be 24 in a month. What are your thoughts?
