Today is my last day at work. After 15 years at this job, I'm finally calling it quits. I'm moving on. I'm taking a risk. I'm not playing it safe anymore. I'm going to chase my dreams.

I had a meltdown about two years ago after a particularly painful incident with my boss. I think that has been my motivation since. I wanted to walk away that day, but my better judgement took over. Ever since then, I have been making choices and decisions that would put me in a position to do this.

There were times when it seemed like this day would never get here! But, at last, it has arrived! You will get there, too. Just keep doing the next right thing.

Oh, and here's an interesting aside. The same boss I had the falling out with a couple years ago is also retiring. He leaves next month. Nobody could decide what to get him for a retirement gift. I mentioned photography to one of my coworkers who asked what I was going to do next. She suggested one of my photographs as a retirement gift for the boss. They all pitched in and purchased it yesterday. There's some irony for you!
