So, things are starting to crumble. I have been lucky in that I have never really had legal or major, obvious issues because of drinking, but it's closing in on me and just a matter of time now.
My husband finally gave me an ultimatum two nights ago: booze or him, one is going to go.
And I am having health issues I just can't avoid anymore.
The frustrating thing today is that I found a program that I think is a really good first step, but no one is answering the phone. They were supposed to be open at 11 (48 minutes ago) and I've called three times with no answer, no voice mail, nothing yet.

Most of these are run by volunteers.
Can you go to an AA meeting in the meantime?
Look up meetings online and just go.
Don't feel like you are giving something up. You are gaining freedom and peace. A few hard days and you will feel better.

No to the AA meeting, at least not today. I can't drive now and the only one I found during the afternoon is very far from my house.
I am honestly not scared by him telling me that. I am glad he did, in fact. He should have done it a year ago. I do want to stop, and I have been taking steps towards that, but I haven't really been sure about what to do (other than not drink, which I haven't been doing well at on my own yet).
The program is called CATEP (Confidential Alcohol Treatment and Education Pilot). We are a military family, and it is on our base. I don't think it's a volunteer thing.
