2 months today!
And also nicotine free for a week.
In all honesty it has been harder than I thought it would be but well worth it.
Lately I've been thinking about things I might like to do with my life, both short term and long term goals, and really, there's nothing stopping me anymore. It might take me a while to do these things but I feel like they're actually doable now.

Congrats on the 2 months, but even more congrats on realizing that it is doable and not requiring immediate gratification to do it!
I quit smoking too when I detoxed in the hospital for seven days. I figured why waste a perfectly good detox on only one of my addictions!
I have two years plus now but still get a thrill reading posts like yours. You sound like a winner, believe you are too. Guess what? That is all it takes. Take it from another winner who traveled your path ahead of you. Come on ahead! The trail is challenging, but that is what makes it fun.
