Roll call: In your first week of sobriety!

I'm on day 2 here. After a lot of failed attempts to stop drinking, I have decided to hang on to these forums and to focus on sobriety as much as possible. The support of others is so helpful for me in these early days. Call in here if you would like some peer support. :-)

Hi! My day 1 is unofficially over (it's past midnight here) but have still got a couple of hours to go before it'll have been 24 hours. Am posting like a crazy person because SR is the only thing that's got me through the day! I hope you guys are having an ok night?

You're almost there, kam! It is actually 11.24am here. I am doing the housework and will be taking my daughter 10 pin bowling after lunch. :-) I am trying to get organized for the week now so that feeling behind the 8-ball at 5pm doesn't trigger a strong urge to drink.
Keep posting!

I m having trouble tonight. Yesterday Ihad 2 glasses of champagne to celebrate the end of a yearly project. Before that ihad been sober since October 13. But i'm back. It was only 2 glasses but at 5 pm friends who are normal drinkers had a glass and it was hard. So now if i were at 1 month like you, i d secretly be very pleased. What a bummer though to be part of the 1 person in 10 that has a drinking problem. Oh how i would love love to be a normal drinker. It helps to read about people who are experiencing these things. Congrats on the 30 days.

Hi, Dawn.

I am just starting my Day 7, going to an early workout again. I am kind of a little bit worried, since I had to measure my weight and see how much I gained during all these 'wine days".

Take care.

Hi Guys, on day 13 two weeks tomorrow and I was invited to a wedding on 3rd of January and my first thought was oh good so I can have some wine Christmas day and again on the 3rd of Jan. I realize it is really and truly one day at a time. If we keep trying we will get there eventually I pray.

Hi guys! Great job everyone, I get all warm inside now that I know I'm not the only one who just started this!

I'm just finishing up week one, and I can't believe I've lasted this long. I'm crossing my fingers for another week. Halloween's coming up and it could get a lot more difficult. x

Daisy, welcome! Stick here, it helps a lot to make it through the first days.

Smisk, I am finishing my first week as well. It's been difficult but still great. Good luck with sober Halloween!

On day one (again) but determined to do it this time. This site has been a lifesaver for me today.

Lets all support each other through this.
