Relapser; Back Day 3
welcome back edeneen
Whenever I see someone come back I always ask - what can you add to what you've been doing?
If you think AA is still the answer for you maybe a new home group or a new sponsor is called for?
If you want to explore other recovery options there's a multitude of them too.
There's no shortage of support if you want to stop drinking and change your life once and for all

welcome back. have you learn what keeps you relapsing and what you can do to prevent it? i was a chronic relapser as well. for me, i wasn't willing to give up fighting with alcohol. it was always something. sometimes i thought i could moderate it. sometimes i thought i needed it to sleep. sometimes i was doing it 'cause i set my sights too far into the future. i was concentrating on having a sober week or a sober month instead of a sober day or a sober hour. in the end, i had to stop trying to control my battle with alcohol and just start focusing my efforts on staying sober by the day, hour or minute. it took believing in myself and leaning on the support around me which, in my case, was my husband and SR. being humble and coming here helped me and still does. keep exploring what's going to work for you in sobriety and don't just try the same thing over and over again.
