music for stress relief?

Anyone else feel like music is a great way to sing out what your feeling? I have started a playlist of songs I just need to play loudly in the car recently. Anyway this one came on and just fit so well, I thought I would post it. It's from the broadway musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Anyone have any good songs that help them get through stress sometimes? If so-post away, I would love to add to my list!

I don't know how to love him
What to do, how to move him
I've been changed, yes really changed
In these past few days
When I've seen myself
I seem like someone else

I don't know how to take this
I don't see why he moves me
He's a man
He's just a man
And I've had so many
Men before
In very many ways
He's just one more

Should I bring him down
Should I scream and shout
Should I speak of love
Let my feelings out?
I never thought I'd come to this
What's it all about?

Don't you think it's rather funny
I should be in this position?
I'm the one
Who's always been
So calm so cool
No lover's fool
Running every show
He scares me so

Just about anything by Van Morrison. He is definitely my go-to artist when I need to just relax. My favorites are Into the Mystic, Crazy Love and It Stoned Me (kind of ironic title for this forum but it's not about alcohol or drugs).

I also love Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce and Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens. And I know it's sort of cliche but Joni Mitchell can be almost hypnotizing as well, more so her later work.

I love listening to music when I'm down. I've recently had that ridiculously pop-y Taylor swift song "we are never ever getting back together" playing and I'm really feeling just about anything by Florence and the machine to help me unwind. Oh and some new one "replace me " that I heard on the radio last week.... Eliza smith(i think).

skwgtb-----OMG, OMG!!! Van-Morrison has been my go-to artist for decades! Above all others.

I feel like I have just discovered a lost relative.

Gary allen has a new song out...every storm runs out of rain

So you're standing in the middle of a thunder and lighting
And I know you're feeling like you just can't win but you're trying
It's hard keep on keepin' on when you're bein' pushed around
Don't even know which way is up, you just keep spinning down around and down

Every storm runs, runs out of rain
Just like every dark night turns into day
Every heartache will fade away
Just like every storm runs, runs out of rain

So hold your head up and tell yourself that there's something more and walk out that door
Go find a new rose, don't be afraid of the thorns 'cause we all have thorns

Just put your feet up to the edge put your face in the wind
And when you fall back down, keep on rememberin'

Every storm runs, runs out of rain
Just like every dark night turns into day
Every heartache will fade away
Just like every storm runs, runs out of rain

It's gonna run out of pain
It's gonna run out of sting
It's gonna leave you alone
It's gonna set you free and set you free

Every storm runs, runs out of rain
Just like every dark night turns into day
Every heartache will fade away
Just like every storm runs, runs out of rain

It's gonna set you free

It's gonna run out of pain
And set you free

Music is the food for our soul, I am a music lover, it helps me a lot when I am tired and stressed, and during sleeping time also. I prefer mellow and classic musics.

I know this is stuip but I love this song for sress release

Like Houdini in the river with a lock he couldn't see
When you think you hit the bottom, then you better find the key
Like Custer at the Horn when he turned around and said
"When you think you finally got 'em, you're just as good as dead."

[Chorus:]
It's a time warp puttin' wrinkles in your skin
It's a rockabilly music make you silly in the end
It's a time warp puttin' circles on your eyes
It's a rockabilly music that's a blessing in disguise

Like Ponce de Leon speakin' Spanish in the swamp
"I was lookin' for a fountain, but it's water that I want."
Like Pike at the top and every other freak
"I was lookin' for a mountain, I took a little peak."

[Chorus]

Like Buddha at the sermon when he didn't say a word
If you think you hear a flower, it's a flower that you heard
Like da Vinci on the roof with his arm in a sling
"A man's got the power, but a bird's got the wing."

[Chorus]

Like Vincent Van Gogh when he chopped off his ear
"I'd like to give her twenty, but I still gotta hear."
Like Crockett at the wall lookin' back to Tennessee
"The livin' costs you plenty, but the dyin's still for free."

[Chorus]

Well I'm having relationship issues in addition to trying to recover from my drinking days so I'm gravitating towards sad songs. Anways, here are a few songs that seem to keep getting played to get through the stress.

Songs I play when I can't stop thinking about booze:
Every Little Bit Counts by James McMurtry
Women Without Whiskey by the Drive by Truckers
Kiss the Bottle by Lucero (Jaw Breaker cover)

Songs I play when I'm trying to figure out my life/relationship stuff:
Enough Rope by Chris Knight
Good Thing by Bleu Edmondson
The Ride by Chris LeDoux

Other artist I've been playing a lot of:
Ryan Bingham
Dustin Kensrue
Cross Canadian Ragweed
Jason Boland
