Halt

Hello all Day 17 here...been feeling pretty good, going to AA and/or hanging out with other alcoholics (non-active that is lol). Today I looked at an apartment and really really liked it. It's a great size and clean, in a good area. Way better than everything else I've seen. So I filled out an app and left a deposit. Guy said it's pretty much mine but would definitely let me know by Monday. As I left I thought I would be elated but I craved a drink. And I started to think about where it was coming from....H---I am hungry (haven't eaten in 6 hours), L---I feel a little lonely because I am starting over again in a new home, a new town and need a lot more furniture because it's a big place which is going to take some time due to $ and T---I am tired.

It really is a true phenomenon and it helped me to get thru the craving just by realizing it. I am on my way to have dinner at a fellow AA's and watch a movie. I know I will be less tired once I am there. Craving for today solved. Hope everyone is well

The program at work. These little hints to help us stay sober were clearly well researched!

Hi

Yes it is so true how if we let ourselves get hungry, angry, lonely and tired how is can seriously undermine our sobriety.
You sound great.

All the best
