So here i am. I have the shakes and do desire a drink. But it will pass sometimes just one moment at a time. It is hard when you fear sleeping. I used to drive my partners crazy cause I'd toss and turn and cry out and I'm talking sleping not sex.

Are you on any meds for PTSD?
Flashbacks and nightmares are terrifying.
I've found that if I exercise a LOT during the day, it's sometimes easier to feel rested.

My ex was a medic in Iraq and he has really severe PTSD and is currently hospitalized.
PTSD is such a severe and difficult thing to struggle with. He used to wake up in the middle of the night in a panic. I felt really bad for him.
I am so sorry for your struggle with PTSD & for the trauma you experienced. I wish I could say more then that but there isn't too much to say. I hope you're on some kind of medication or in treatment that is VERY important for PTSD, I did A LOT of research on PTSD because it was related to my senior thesis product.
Good for you for not giving in & drinking. I'd imagine it's an even greater struggle with an anxiety disorder.
You are right, this too shall pass. It always does. Sleep will come, I hope it is dreamless for you.

All things come to pass , so shall this .

Here in the UK we have a classical music radio station called bbc radio 3 , i like to listen to that low volume and have an electric night light on , to make the right sleeping atmosphere.
I also have two bannanas before bed as they apparently encourage some nice sleepy chemicals in the body and give your stomach something nice and mushy to digest ,

Bestwishes, M

Its ok better already. When I can think it out and write it out its better. The past is past. i'm working on perfecting my laptop light. I will not feel sorry for myself. I made the choices I made. Except when I fell off my bike as a kid. War is Hell but what the heck.

Sometimes I just don't know what to say to try and make you feel better Fitz :<

I know that the more you do something, the more normal, (if I can use that word) easier it becomes in the end.

I suppose it's too early for breakfast ;>?

After I got home from a meeting tonight. Around midnight I got a bit hungry so I went into the kitchen for a snack.. Ended up an hour and half later with fresh handmade dumplings. With a pot of 2 pounds of sauerkraurt and 2 pounds of polish sausage.

I still do everything late at night.

Hope you get some more rest today my friend..
