Passed a test tonight
Just wanted to share that I passed a test pretty early in my sobriety, tomorrow will be 70 days.
Wife is staying in the city for business tonight, so just got home alone. Used to be a opportunistic binge drinker, meaning when she wasn't here I'd go out drinking or drink my self silly a home, sometimes both. Had a great dinner with her in the city, drove straight home. Now contently on the couch watching football with lemonade, the crystal light kind! Had some minor temptations, but was able to quickly mute them...
looking forward to a good nights sleep and running 4-5miles in the am.... not being hungover...Feels very good.

Excellent work! Test passed!
The next one in my experience, was a trip away for work or otherwise. I went to Germany this last summer on business and was glad to meet each day with a clear head. I also got in a few runs and was able to experience the city of Stuttgart in a very intimate way.
Love your thread!

Congrats on your success. Love that lemonade although I buy the wal-mart knock-off brand : ) Just had a glass myself and some earlier while grilling. There is a peace in doing things sober now that used to require drinking (i.e. football, grilling, etc).
Feels like maybe life can get back to "normal" without the booze.
Have a good run tomorrow!

Another Pats fan here at almost same number of days. Good for you! I find that no hangover thing very motivating when I'm tempted! It's very nice to just relax on the couch and have nothing to beat yourself up over isn't it?
