A thank you to the forum members, moderators and admins

This is just a thank you to the admins, the moderators, the users, and most importantly, a thank you to the creator of the site, because without him/her/them none of us would be on this forum.

Since joining the forum I will admit that I have had a few drinks here and there, but my drinking has decreased significantly. I'm still struggling to stop completely, but this forum is helping me a lot. Typically when I drink I don't have access to this site; when the craving do comes on I come here, and read the threads of support by the members, or post my own thread, and get replies of support, and the cravings go away.

It's so nice to be able to log onto a forum with people who can relate to your own struggles, share their own stories and offer their own support regarding whatever it was/is they were/are addicted too.

I'm a member of a few forums and I have posted about my alcoholism on those with hopes of support to quit, but the replies I got were just shy of a 'I don't care but I will reply anyways'.

It's different here. And as the site title suggests, that's the purpose of this forum.

So yeah, this is just a to the members here for offering support to others that they may never meet in real life.

-Mike

PS: This thread was inspired by a thank you thread on another forum I am a member of with over 7000 posts. I find it nice to give a thanks to the entire forum every now and then. If there's already a 'Thank You Thread' to the forum here, then the mods may do with this thread as they deem fit.

What a nice thread This site has been very instrumental in my sobriety. I find it also helps in other areas of my life, as I read so much sound advice here - serves to clarify my thinking.
