Today is my fifth day sober and I'm feeling really good, except for these terrible headaches. They start early in the morning and last pretty much all day. I'm sure this is just withdrawal, but it is really affecting my daily life. Can anyone give me some idea how long this will last? I've been to my doctor and she is referring me to a neurologist. I'm just hoping I can wait out the pain and it will go away.

Not sure, but I'd say within two weeks for mine to stop. The pain wasn't like other headaches effecting the front\upper skull, it was back near the top of my neck. Felt like a raw nerve in there.
Congrats and def. stick with it.

Thanks, Scott. I know the pain will pass eventually. It is definitely giving me incentive to never do this to myself again!

I have the back of the head headache here and there. I like to think my brain is getting more O2 and that's causing the temporary pain lol But seriously, I hope you feel better soon

Can't tell you when the headaches will stop, I wish I could. I've had daily headaches since I quit as well (22 days). I guess it's part of the process. Hang in there and congrats on day 5!
