Sober Saturday :)

Whoo hoo it's the start of day 6 and the sun is shining.

If I got through last night I'm sure I can do it again tonight.

Happy Sober Saturday all x

I am right there with you Dorris!

The sun is not up here yet but I get to see the sunrise. And not from being up all night. I do savor my sobriety as well!

Enjoy your day!

You'll are great

Waking up sober is a gift you give to yourself and something to truely be thankful and joyous for. ( in my experience)
There is a lot of oppertunity for growth and change when you wake up sober, it's glorious, more so than a drinky day .

When we drink it's like we pay forwards or sow pain and grief into our lives , when we choose not to drink we pay forwards either nothing or we sow the seeds of good things .

Bestwishes, M

Well done you! Look how far you have come since that post when you were frightened to go to AA!

I'm really proud of you

Keep it up lady! It's going to get better and easier! And think of all that extra cash you will have for Christmas!

FANTASTIC!!! I almost started a thread with the same title - good to learn you already did Enjoyed wonderful early walk with hubby and dogs in crisp fall air, ran errands, visited mother in law and am now making home made spaghetti sauce.

I could have been at an event at a winery today....but nope, happy and productive near the home front

Let's go for a sober Sunday!!!!

Hi Dorris - congratulations on you achievement. You have come a long way in a week

I love being sober. I am especially getting great joy out having lovely evenings and weekends. I get things done, it doesn't matter how mundane the chore I get pleasure out of achieving.
Today I spent time making Cottage Pies for the freezer and a very large chunky chilli. The house is tidy, the dogs are well walked. The coffee is brewed and I am settling down to an evening of SR, some work on Step 4 and a game of Mouse on a String with our kitten

Good luck with your journey and keep posting

Good for you Doris! Nothing beats waking up sober, without guilt or shame, ready for the day. I think it is the feeling I have in the morning the gets me through cravings more than anything.
