The hubby usually comes home with friends on his lunch break, usually a guy and a girl co worker accompany him. The guy quit and so lately he's been coming home with the girl. I felt a little disrespected as they sat at our dining room table laughing and eating but different than what I normally would have done, which is go in my room and get drunk to suppress the feeling, I kindly let the lady know that it was ok for her when the other guy was with them but now I feel it is inappropriate. I also told her that I'm sure she'd feel the same way if it was concerning her husband. She understood, apologized, and they left. He was upset at first but I just let him know that soon as he welcomes me to do that same thing he attempted, then feel free to have her come around...lol...never gonna happen....It felt good to speak my mind without the need for the so called liquid courage.

I'm happy you were able to stand up for yourself with a clear mind, Kae. It's amazing how loved ones will really take notice and listen when we're sober.
