60 Days w/o beer
60 Days w/o beer
My determination to beat the beast is intact and STRONGER than ever!
I am now enjoying the benefits of life w/o beer....
-I have about $500 that I would have drank
-I have lost over 20 lbs
-I haven't had a hangover in 2 months
-I can drive to concerts (or anywhere...) w/o worry
-I am motivated to do something productive each day
-My yard looks better than it has in years!
I know that more good things in life are on the way and I am ready to embrace the changes to come.

Very sincere congratulations! I know the euphoria of feeling as though you have beaten it and am myself growing in strength as my last binge recedes into the rear view mirror.
If I might give advice, always take a moment here or there to acknowledge its very insidious, silent power. I say this from my own experience of having gone over half a year and then letting it quickly tempt me into my last binge. It is still there, even if it goes a bit quiet. At some point, it is going to try to strike when you are feeling most powerful (which is when you are weakest). Just give silent thanks for your achievement, and keep an eye out. I will do the same as my stretch of days grows again!
Again, congratulations and well done!
