I can't believe I'm going on my second week sober now.

My home life is much better and I feel good mentally and physically.

I know I wouldn't have made it to ten days if I hadn't stumbled upon this site. Once I reached out here, someone went online and found another person in recovery who works and lives 15 minutes away.

I met that guy and then another and another. Next week we'll be starting to hold regular meetings in our city.

The thing is; I'm in Korea, and not in the capital. Basically, in the last 7 years of living here, there haven't been meetings in my area.

I think I chose to stop drinking at the right time, found this board at the right time, and met up with others in recovery at just the right time.

Having a network to help and be helped by is something I always took for granted when living in the states.

It's truly a great thing to be able to meet and talk with others in recovery.
