enabling! How can I stop it
So my 43 yr.old brother , father of one six year old, is still doing drugs. He's never worked, lives between mom and girl friends. Now is hitting everone up for money "for the kid" and ofcourse they give it to him.
Where can we go to address this issue? Al-anon???
Any assistance is appreciated

Turn him into DFS for child endangerment. If no one in the family wants to do kinship care then they will place the six-year-old in foster care. At least then the child will be in a safer environment.
Yes, Al-Anon would be a great place to get additional information and support for tending to your own needs.

Don't give him money. He's lying and you know it. Remember, to him the child is addiction, and his human child is simply the tool he uses to get enablers to give him money.
If you really want to help the child, the real victim here, when the child has a need fulfill it directly. If that need is something tangible, make sure all labels and receipts are removed so they can't be returned for drug and alcohol money, and make sure it's not so expensive it can easily be sold on craigslist or ebay. Yes, this is what they do.
And, try some Alanon meetings.

Thanks for all of your help, I really found the right spot. To be clear, the child is safe as far as we can tell. We've gone DSS route where he stayed with my sister and husband for a year, then the court returned him to the parents.
My real question is WHERE TO GO TO GET HELP, regarding enabling? Al-anon? I need to get my wife and sisters ( but I'll start with my wife) on the same page as me. NOT TO PROVIDE MONEY!!! or to pay for his rent-a-center bills, or give money for oil, since she gets oil assistance.
Where can I go to shine the light onto these marble heads?
Al-anon? or some where else.
