I saw a friend last night who I haven't seen in a while. She says I look much happier than I did after the break up and I seem a lot more relaxed. I think this is progress!

I'm not gonna lie to you, detaching from my A. was really difficult because I loved him so much, but now that I'm out of the situation I feel a lot less stressed out. I am a bit lonely sometimes but that is better than dealing with the constant chaos, mood swings and unpredictable behavior.

I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel -Yeah! Freedom!

Can't wait to get there I'm at the foot of the mountain, but had an awesome vacation back to my 'home' and met up with some really good people I had lost touch with. Thanks for giving me just that much more hope, ZiggyB!

for a minute i thought i was reading something about me...we are almost the same...i have a neighbor who saw me recently and told me that she likes how i look now..."healthy and happy" compared to before "skinny and stressed out"...and that they can see me smile again...

just like you i still miss my xabf and at times i get lonely...but im also grateful in a way because i no longer worry whether he is gonna use "tonight" or if his "alcoholic, weed smoking, sex crazed friend from hs who doesnt let up in wanting to be with him will be at his house"...things like that...although i miss him and now i know for sure that this "friend" is the one who he is spending time with i felt somewhat relieved...because whether im part of the equation or not...they are still bound to do the things they want to do...

anyway, not to segue but i am really happy for your progress...and wish you happiness.

Thanks for your messages. Things are getting better, I even have a couple of new guys interested in me. I must say it has been so difficult to leave it all behind. I still think of the ex often and it makes me sad. I wish things could have turned out differently, he really broke my heart. The verbal abuse has me doubting who I am as a person which is the really difficult part of all of this, still.

But mostly I am over it and just hoping for a better future for me...
