Hey, everyone! Today is 3 weeks sober for me. *****! Early on I asked on this forum how long it would take until the fog lifted from my brain. I got several different responses but was basically told to be patient, so patient I was. Today I was taking meeting minutes and it suddenly dawned on me that my mind was clear and I was actually present in thought! This hasn't happened to me for some time and I just wanted to share. It was so exciting to realize that the fogginess is slowly but surely disappearing! For those of you needing a reason to quit drinking (or to continue with your sobriety), I have one word for you: CLARITY.

I look forward to this. I was sober for a few days and found I made dumb mistakes at work, and was in a fog, worse than when I was drinking. I worried this wouldn't pass. You give me hope.
