So its day 10 - I did the weekend alone on purpose (its 7.30PM Europe), figure if I could get through the weekend alone then it would be a milestone.

All acholics look forward to the weekend REALLY LOOK FOWARD TO THE WEEKEND.....expecially if your partner and kids go to visit grandmother......time for me to drink as much as I can Friday, Saturday, till Sunday morning - maybe 60US pints of beer. Stay in bed late, eat crap food. Then stop drinking early Sunday afternoon before family arrives back in the evening. NOT THIS TIME...Did the weekend alone.

Did I drink a drop of alcohol?......NO.
Did I go to the pub?......YES........just this afternoon......since none of my buddies had seen me for a week or so.
Did I feel under pressure to drink with my buddies?......... just told them it was time to stop......end of discussion. A few of my buddies commented that they wish they could stop.


My partner just called she is back with my son. So I am feeling really good inside. And its a feeling that 60 beers cannot replace.
