3 days in

Hi everyone, my name is Matt . Well today is my 3rd day of being sober. I am still feeling sick and cant sleep but it is better to be exhausted all day then waking up hungover and Depressed about my drinking. I can honestly say I almost lost everything that is most important to me. I have to do this and I will do this. I feel stronger now than I have been in a long time. I am glad I have found this site and already have read so many positive and helpful things. Good luck to everyone.

Welcome Matt

I hope you'll feel better soon - if you don't, or you get concerned, don't hesitate to see a Dr - best to be safe

You'll find a lot of support here

Awesome and welcome aboard

I would just like to say this thing of being sober has nothing and I mean nothing to do with luck..

Its in our full power to get and stay sober or not..

Congrats on 3 days, I am a proud member or that fight of sobriety with AA , and wouldnt be here without it. Maybe come give a meeting a try, it cant hurt..

Welcome to SR, Matt you'll find that there are many people here who have been where you are and are very willing to share their experiences and help and advise. It's been an invaluable source of support for me and I hope you find all that I have here.

Congratulations for making this decision and for your three days. It does get easier as time goes on and after a short while you will feel so many benefits. It is very, very worth it. Keep going, stay strong, and remember that everyone here will be there for you if you need us.

Wishing you all the best on your sober journey.

hi Matt,
Everyone here knows exactly what you are going through. I noticed your 1st post was on Day 3....the worst day for many...the 3rd day with no sleep really is the 'hump' to get over. Sounds like you are feeling better now. Welcome to the site!
